About Me

Hi, I’m Dan Stuchbury.

I’m an engineering leader with a background in building and running production systems. For the last decade I’ve worked on software that quietly powers real businesses - the kind of systems that process orders, connect platforms, and keep operations moving behind the scenes.

Over time my interests have expanded beyond writing code itself into the broader questions around systems, leadership, and decision-making. How do teams build reliable software? How do organisations make good technical decisions? And how do the systems we build shape the way people work?

This site is a place where I occasionally write about those things.

You’ll find reflections on engineering and leadership, thoughts on technology and systems, and sometimes notes from the things I’m learning outside of work.

Away from the keyboard, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, and the occasional road trip. Some of those journeys make their way here as well.

I'm a Christian. From time to time, I may write about my journey to Christianity.

This isn’t intended to be a high-volume blog. Think of it more as a collection of notes - ideas and observations worth capturing along the way.

If something here resonates with you, I’m always glad to hear from people who are thinking about similar things. Drop me a line - dan [at] danstuchbury.com
